Just Dance!

Hailey enjoyed dance so much last year, that we decided to put her in it again. This time we were able to get her in a dance class that is taught by Ms. Trisha, a member of our ward. Ms. Trisha teaches dance out of her garage and we had heard wonderful things about her program. Hailey loved going to class each week to dance and see all of her friends from church. Parents were not able to watch, so the recital at the end of the year was a complete surprise. Ms. Trisha rented the local High School Theatre and did all of the costumes herself!! She is super talented!! The title of the recital was: Back to the Future with The Power of Love. The girls danced to different songs from over the years starting with the 1920's and ending in the 1990's. Hailey did a wonderful job on all 3 of her dances. We were so impressed that she knew the words to all of her songs and was able to sing and dance at the same time. I know I'm a bit prejudice...but my daughter is so darn cute!!

Soon to be 4

Baby Addison will be here in about 4 weeks. We talk about Addison all the time and Hailey seems to be very excited, however we are a bit nervous about how she will react once she is here. Hailey will almost have had four years of being the only child. Everyone that knows us, knows that Hailey is spoiled! Well things are about to change, so we thought one last getaway with the three of us would be great. Since my due date is approaching quickly, we decided to stay close to home and visit the Happiest Place on Earth. We go to Disneyland often, however it is different when you actually get to stay there. We stayed at the beautiful Disney's Grand Californian Hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. We had a blast spending time together as a family.

All Hailey could talk about was getting her face painted

BIG BELLY

Yes, I'm huge!! I am officially 35 weeks and feeling it. When I was pregnant with Hailey I retained a ton of water and was swollen everywhere very early. I was hoping things would be different with Addison, however as you can see in my face it has officially started. As of now you can't really see any definition in my ankles and all of my soccer wounds are noticeable. The good news about swelling is that Colin will actually rub me now!

Mom and Dad

During the month of May we always make a visit to Rose Hills to visit Mom and Dad. It is so difficult not having them around and I want to make sure that Hailey knows who they are. We talk about them often and she always runs to get their picture when she wants to tell me something specific about them. Hailey knows and will explain that Grandma Pat and Grandpa Lyman are in heaven with Heavenly Father, Jesus, Bear (Grandma Maryann's dog), and Fishy. So, when we make our annual visit to the cemetery it can be a bit confusing. I miss my parents dearly and wish they could be part of Hailey's everyday life. I'm thankful for their example and know that they are watching over our family.

New Yard

We have officially been in our home for 1 year and 4 months. We have pretty much redone the entire inside of the house. The outside on the other hand has been deprived. I grew up with a father who took pride in his yard, which eventually my brothers took over and felt the same way. We always had the nicest yard on the block. Well, not this house. Unfortunately we have been the sore eye in the neighborhood. However, when you run out of money there is only so much you can do. So, we finally decided it was time. Colin who has little to no spare time at all took on a huge task. We are currently looking into painting the outside after which we will plant some small plants. I am so happy with the results thus far and get a smile on my face every time I pull in and out of the drive way. I am so proud and thankful for all of Colin's hard work.

Mother's Day

Being a Mother has been the greatest accomplishment of my life. I feel extremely blessed to be a Mother to Hailey. She has been such a joy to me. She may look like her Dad, but she definitely is a mini me. I love her with all my heart!! We celebrated Mother's Day early since Daddy had to work. We went out to eat at Chili's and then hung out as a family. I was given a homemade card with lady bug magnet, some beautiful flowers, and a card with a whistle in it. The whistle I was able to use to get whatever I wanted on Mother's Day...fun!! I am so thankful for my family and the joy and happiness they bring me.

The sweetest card ever!! I had given them my hand print for an activity...sneaky!
