Cinderella

Hailey got all decked out to go see Cinderella at our local theatre. The White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland suddenly arrives on the scene just as the fairy godmother is about to tell the story of Cinderella. Before he can get back to his own story, fairy godmother decides she might be able to use a rabbit to help rescue Cinderella from her step mother. It was a fun musical that Hailey enjoyed even more because her cousins and friends came along.

Marine Corps Air Station Miramar

Daddy invited us to his work for the day so that he could give us a tour of the flight line. It was amazing standing next to these huge jets that you see on movies and in books. Daddy used to be a mechanic on F-18's and now is working on the visiting aircraft terminal. He handles passengers, cargo, and all other needs for aircraft not from Miramar. He has had the opportunity to welcome home many soldiers, as well as send others off. Thanks Daddy for letting us spend the day with you!

LEGOLAND

There are many reasons why we love having the condo in Del Mar. Our newest one being LEGOLAND. We had heard from many people that Hailey was at the perfect age to go, so we took advantage since it is only 15 minutes away from us. We loved every minute of it! It was amazing to see the talent and patience people have with building things out of legos.

It's a....

GIRL!!! We are thrilled to be having another girl in our family. Hailey had wanted a baby sister all along until the last week, and changed to wanting a baby brother. It didn't take her long to accept and be happy about having a little sister. Daddy is excited about having another girl, although he says there will be a round three. I don't know about that, but I do know I am blessed to be a mother of two daughters!

Officially Official

Yes, it is true! After 3 years of Hailey getting into Disneyland for free, she is now the proud owner of her own annual pass. Hailey turned 3 last August, and we waited for our annual passes to expire in December before purchasing one for her. Grandpa was kind enough to buy Daddy and Mommies annual passes again this year, so fortunately we only had buy one for Hailey. She was super excited to take her picture and have her own pass.

Sunbeam

Today was a very special day for Hailey!! It was her first day at church as a Sunbeam. We had been talking about it all week and she was so excited. She would constantly go around the house singing "Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam" and talking about going to a new class with a new teacher.

It is so fun watching her grow up and be excited about church. We have the missionaries over to eat, read the scriptures, say family prayer, and go to church, but you never really know just what they retain. Just recently she shared two things that I was somewhat surprised about, but very happy to know she is getting something. I wanted to document those things...

*While holding Hailey at church during sacrament she whispered in my ear that the missionaries were sitting right behind us. I turned around and sure enough two new sister missionaries were sitting there. It made me happy to know she knew who the missionaries were.

*While driving if Hailey sees something large being built, or if it is a big white building she gets excited and says, "Look, it's the temple! That is where we go to dance." It is so cute!

2010

We spent New Year's Eve with family. It was nice being close to home, in the company of family, as well as Rock Band, cousins, delicious snacks, and great conversation. We look forward to the new year and all that it brings. Happy 2010!
