Belly

This pregnancy has been very different from the first. The major thing that I have noticed is that I am showing much quicker than I did with Hailey. Of course everyone tells me that I'm not that big, but they don't know my body like I do!! I look at others who are further along and I look way bigger than them!! At first I was a little paranoid that I might be having twins, but made sure that was my first question when having my first sonogram. There is only one baby, and I guess it is common to show quicker with your second child.

14 Weeks- Just heard the heart beat. Hailey said it sounded like a choo-choo train!

That isn't mine!

Santa brought Hailey a bike extension for Christmas. When we showed it to her she had no real interest in it at all. She kept explaining that it wasn't hers and that it was missing a wheel! We kind of just left it at that for the day. The day after Christmas Daddy hooked it up to his bike and took Hailey for a ride. Mommy was a little nervous, but Hailey absolutely loved it!

What a smile

It was a success!

Christmas 2009

Christmas morning couldn't have come soon enough. You would have thought that I was the child because I was up every hour starting at 2:30 a.m. Due to our hectic schedule we had to wake Hailey up... I know crazy!! Who does that? We spent the morning at home as a family and opened our gifts. We then got ready and headed to Papa's house to visit cousin Caleb and the family. Next we headed to GGPA and GGMA's to see the Packer extended family. We were all exhausted, so we came home and rested before Auntie Terri, Uncle Sol, and Peyton came over with Chicken -n- Dumplings. It was a wonderful Christmas. It seemed to go by so quickly. Hailey was spoiled as usual and got everything she wanted and more!

Christmas Eve 2009

With all the build up of Christmas Day coming, I think Hailey could hardly believe the day was near. She hung out in her Christmas pj's pretty much all day except for the short amount of time we were away visiting the Waddells and for Christmas Eve dinner. The day started with playing with her cousin, MacKenzie and then some time baking her first cake in her new Easy Bake Oven. After her nap, we were able to visit our friends/family, the Waddells, and then we had Christmas Eve dinner with Colin's family at our house. After dinner Daddy and Hailey made cookies for Santa and prepared bread for the reindeer. She then was so excited that she decided to pose all around the house. I never realized how fun Christmas would be with my own child!!

GGPA and GGMA Sleep Over

Colin had many wonderful traditions growing up with his grand-parents. Some of those traditions have stopped because the grand-children have all grown-up. Recently GGPA and GGMA have started some of those traditions again with their great-grand-children. One of the favorites is the annual Easter Break trip to Baja. Another favorite that just began last year is the sleep over. GGPA and GGMA are very brave to take on quite a task. I think cousin Erin is a huge help! The kids enjoyed pizza, hot chocolate, cookies, candy, movies, caroling, puzzles, nail painting, breakfast, and each other. Hailey is so blessed to have them take such an active role in her life!

Packer White Elephant Gift Exchange

Who doesn't love a white elephant gift exchange?? This year was especially fun because the number of participates was so high, 24, and because there were some hot items to be wanted and stolen!! We had a wonderful time with the Packer family and enjoyed all the giggling while playing this traditional Christmas game.
