Marine Ball

November 10, 1775, the Marine Corps was formed. Every year around this time different units gather and celebrate. This year we attended the ball on November 13, 2009, at Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula. It was a small ball compared to the ones we have been to in the past, but we enjoyed celebrating with our friends and other Marines.

What a good looking Marine!

Big Day!

Well it has been awhile since I've posted... I am behind on many big events. On Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, we went to Disneyland to help cousin Calista celebrate her 8th Birthday. Not only was it a big day for Calista, but it was a big day for Hailey as well.

Today was Hailey's big day because she went on two rides for her very first time!! I still can't believe she actually went on them, she is only 3! I think it was because her cousins were going and she didn't want to be left behind. Anyways, she did it! Mommy and especially Daddy were very proud!

First time on Thunder Mountain. This was her favorite!!

It was a successful trip to Disneyland. Beautiful weather, family, short lines, and new rides. Thanks Calista for letting us spend your special day with you!

Anniversary

I can't believe that five years ago Colin and I were married. I can remember the day like it was yesterday. I look back at the past 5 years and feel so blessed. We are so fortunate to have each other and a beautiful family. I am so thankful that I had the guts to approach Colin that Sunday afternoon...because now my dreams are coming true! Happy Anniversary Colin!

Halloween

The week of Halloween was exhausting! Hailey's costume was put to really good use. She wore it to two trunk-or-treat parties, storytime at the library, storytime at Barnes-n-Noble, and Halloween night. We spent Halloween at Mike and Nat's house carving pumpkins, eating pizza, and trick-or-treating.

Daddy was stuck carving pumpkins on his own because Hailey wanted to play with her cousins

Spooky Storytime

The Rancho Cucamonga Barnes-n-Noble has a wonderful storytime program that is offered on Thursdays and is free. Ms. Karen is the teacher and she has made quite an impression on the kids, especially Hailey. Hailey has been visiting Ms. Karen for almost 2 years and doesn't ever want to miss a Thursday. The kids always get a chance to introduce themselves, share something new, hear wonderful stories, play Simon Says, and end with a treat. What is not to love? The Thursday before Halloween was super special because the kids were able to wear their costumes to the store.

And storytime always ends with chocolate milk at Starbucks with Mia

Halloween Fun!

I love being a stay at home mom!! These past few months I have felt so blessed to spend quality time with Hailey and Colin. Hailey and I have been able to do fun things together that would never be possible if I worked. Hailey is at such a fun age... she appreciates so many things, like the holidays. So, I took the opportunity to have a small gathering of cousins and friends over for some Halloween Fun!

We started with some Halloween stories...

Then worked on some crafts...

Next we ate PB&J with Halloween sprinkles and...

Mummy Hot Dogs done by Daddy...

And ended with decorating and eating cupcakes!

All in all the day was a success!! We are so happy that our cousins and friends could join us in celebrating Halloween and creating some fun memories!

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend is the annual Pumpkin Festival at Cal Poly Pomona. We woke Daddy up early and met Auntie Terri, Uncle Sol, Peyton, and our friends the Yarrobinos there. There were pumpkins everywhere! It was a great time, however I wish it was a little cooler.
