Babysitting

Today was a special day.... it was our first time babysitting Baby Peyton for a few hours on our own. I wasn't sure how Hailey would react to having to share me, but she was wonderful. We hope to have many other opportunities to watch Baby Peyton.

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie

We are so lucky to have the Lewis Family Playhouse at Victoria Gardens Cultural Center so close to our home. The MainStreet Theatre Company produces Theatre for Young Audiences. Today, Hailey and I, along with some friends, were able to see one of the shows, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Hailey loved the book, so I knew for sure she would love the show. The show was about an hour and was a huge success for all of the kids! We can't wait for the next show, Cinderella.

Happy B-Day GGMA

When Colin and I were married I not only gained a husband, I gained an amazing extended family. My own Grandparents have all passed on, so I was so excited to have new ones. Grandma and Grandpa (GGMA and GGPA) have been wonderful to me and my family. They have always treated me as one of their own. Hailey is extremely blessed to have Great Grand Parents in her life. They are not the typical GGMA and GGPA's... they are extremely active and involved in all of their children, grand-children, and great grand-children lives. We are extremely blessed to have them live so close that we are able to see them often. Every time we spend time together I make sure to take pictures because I want Hailey to realize how lucky she is.

Today is GGMA's Birthday!! We were able to get together with all of the family and celebrate her. Happy Birthday GGMA!! We love you!

Airplanes

I have to admit I am enjoying not working!! It allows for Hailey and I to spend tons of quality time together, and our schedule open to do fun things whenever we want. Our most recent adventure was a 16.5 mile bike ride as a family to Central Park. At the park Grandpa and cousin Caleb met us to play and fly airplanes.

Vacation

We were able to squeeze in a short vacation to the Grand Canyon and Vegas before Colin had to return to work. We were gone for only 4 days, but had a wonderful time. I'm extremely thankful to have spent the time with my family and hope Hailey will remember the experiences we had together.

We left at 4:30 a.m. to avoid traffic and allow Hailey to sleep for part of the drive

1st Haircut

Yes, Hailey is 3 and she has never had her haircut! Mommy and Daddy love her hair and didn't want to see any of it go. It is my fault...I have thin, fine, and straight hair and she has beautiful, thick, and curly hair. I was afraid if I cut her hair I would lose some of the curl. So, I finally decided that a haircut was needed as the tangles were getting worse and hair time was becoming more difficult.

As you look at the pictures you may not notice a difference, but as her Mother I can assure you that there is a change! It seems a little lighter and more curly! Hailey is not happy with the cut and makes sure that I am aware of it. She informed me that she doesn't want any more haircuts!
