It was my 34th birthday and we went to Benihanas to celebrate. The food was delicious and the cooks are always entertaining. I made out well this birthday with gift cards, cash, new sweats, and a Disney Dooney and Bourke overnight bag. I know it sounds terrible, but I love being spoiled!

Addie puts everything in to her mouth!! When I say everything, I mean everything, including a tampon. Yes, my daughter has a tampon in her mouth. She pored out the entire box, opened and individual tampon, and proceeded to put it in her mouth. Earlier this same night she threw up a piece to a band aid. You have to love this age!

Aquarium

The second day while in San Diego we went to the Birch Aquarium. Hailey hadn't been to an aquarium since she was a baby, so I didn't know how exciting it would be for her. To our surprise, she loved it!! She really soaked it all in. It was a beautiful aquarium that had some small tide pools outside where you could actually touch various things.

Spring Break baby!!! Plans for spring break had to change this year.... Daddy was unable to get off work and our annual trip to Mexico didn't happen. We were really sad, but couldn't do anything about it. So, we decided to go to San Diego on Daddy's days off. The first part of the week we were all sick, but luckily felt better before arriving in San Diego. Our first day we went to the zoo. The weather was beautiful. We had a wonderful time at the zoo and our hotel was amazing.

Mommy woke up St. Patrick's Day morning to this...... I set up breakfast, and woke up Hailey. I explained what I saw, so she got dressed quickly. Hailey had informed me that she had heard something the night before and she thought it was a leprechaun. We rushed downstairs where Hailey was happy to see her donuts and green milk. But then, she noticed some footprints around the kitchen.

GGPA and GGMA decided they needed to clean out their garage. Instead of just tossing the items, they had a brilliant idea to auction their items off to their family. The day was set, the backyard was ready, and lunch was served. We were each given our own wad of pretend money and the auction began. Hailey enjoyed having her own money and bidding on her own items. Some of the treasures we came home with were a flag that was on the casket of Colin's great-great uncle, an old typewriter, and a small tea set.

Last night I took the girls to the talent show at my school. After every act there was clapping, and eventually Addie caught on. She started to join the crowd and clap herself. She was so proud of herself! When you would just look at her she would start clapping so that you would give her some exciting response. I have to say it is pretty darn cute! I was thinking to myself that I haven't video recorded Addison and her army crawl that much, and that I ought to. So, when I pulled the video camera on and started recording she immediately started crawling on her knees. It was exciting and unexpected!

Auntie Natalie planned a surprise birthday party for Uncle Mike's 30th birthday. It was held at one of our favorite places to eat, Barbonies. There was yummy food, fun with cousins, and I think Uncle Mike really was surprised.

For Christmas Hailey got a butterfly and ladybug life cycle kit. It was a big hit at the Packer house. Mornings were easier because she couldn't wait to run and check if anything had happened. Most of all it was a great learning experience. Hailey is a real expert on the butterfly life cycle. She enjoyed it so much I decided to do it with my class, which they are enjoying just as much.

Crazy Life

I have been back to work for about 4 months now and things are still crazy. As I'm sure many of you have noticed, I have not been able to blog on a regular basis. I think about it, but don't seem to find the time to do it. I have been thinking about how busy we are, and how we are managing to get by and thought I really need to document this. Every day is different and it seems that no one can keep track of what is going on except us! Mondays: I take the kids to Margie's house at about 7:15 a.m. We were blessed that Margie had openings for both girls. She is amazing! I know with all my heart they are in a safe and loving environment. Margie exposes Hailey to different foods, she reads with them, and does homework with them. They nap everyday and have a fun time. Daddy usually picks Hailey up at around 12 to take her home and get her ready for dance which is at 1. He picks Hailey up from dance and usually keeps her at home with him. I then pick Addie up at around 3:45 and we meet at home. We eat dinner and hang out until about 4:30 p.m. when Daddy has to go to work. Daddy works at 5 p.m. until 3 a.m. Tuesdays: I leave the house at about 7:15 a.m. I have the girls ready to go, but Daddy takes Hailey to pre-school and then drops Addie off at Margie's house. Daddy comes home and goes back to bed until he has to pick Hailey up at 10:45. He then drops Hailey off at Margie's house and goes home and back to bed. I usually pick the girls up by 3:45 and head home to eat and visit with Daddy before he leaves for work. Wednesdays: I take the kids to Margie's house at 7:15. Daddy tries to catch up on some sleep. It is Daddy's first day off and I have minimum day, so I try and leave work by 3 to pick up the girls. We usually hand out with Papa on Wednesday evenings because he is watching Caleb. Thursdays: I leave the house around 7:15 a.m. The girls are ready to go. This is Daddy's special day with the girls. He drops Hailey off at school and comes home with Addison. They hang out until 10:45 a.m. when Hailey is done with school. They then go to the park with two other sets of friends to play, have chocolate milk, and eat hot dog on a stick. I try and get home by 4. The girls are usually still napping. We spend time together and eat dinner before Colin leaves to school at 5:30 p.m. Fridays: The kids go to Margie's house. Daddy does stuff around the house, or homework. By the end of the week I am exhausted. I am home with the kids by 4 p.m. Once a month Colin and I go on our date night. Otherwise we usually watch a movie as a family. Basically we do what we can before my eyes close! Saturdays: My favorite day of the week. I am still up early, but can't complain because Addison does sleep through the night. Daddy sleeps until about 9 a.m. because his shift starts again tonight. We usually hang out in our p.j.'s for a large part of the day. We usually all have a nap. Unfortunately, in the later afternoon Daddy goes to work. It is the hardest day for Daddy to go to work probably because we beg him to stay home. Sundays: Daddy sleeps in. We lounge around and wait for him to get up before we lay in bed or on the couch together. We have church at 1 p.m., which in my opinion should not be required when you have kids. We struggle every week because it is nap time. The positive of it being at that time is that Daddy can go. We rush home so Daddy can change and leave for work. That evening we start packing things for the next day. Our time as a whole family is limited, and that is why I cherish it so much. My family means everything to me and I don't feel complete when we are not together. I am so thankful for my children. I love them so much. I am thankful for Colin who is an amazing father. I'm thankful that he takes an active role in his children's lives. I'm thankful that he gets up only after a few hours of sleep every morning to help load up the kids or take Hailey to school. I defiantly could not do it without him. We work together. We will be married 7 years this November, and I have never felt closer to Colin and more happy. I/we are blessed!

Living in Southern California has many benefits. Living between the mountains and beach is one of them. On President's Day we went to our local mountains, Mt. Baldy, with Papa, Caleb, and Auntie Brandy. We left early and got there before the crowd. The weather was beautiful. We spent a few hours sledding, observing others, and making snow angels. Addison even went on a ride with Daddy. It was a great day!

We planned to go to Disneyland on Friday, February 11th, because we had the day off of school for Lincoln's Birthday. Daddy texted me at work Thursday afternoon that he got us a hotel for that night. We were super excited!! I rushed home after work and packed a few things and off we went. We were able to spend a few hrs. at Disneyland that evening. We then ate dinner at Downtown Disney. The next morning we had breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen and then spent the rest of the day at the park. It was a great time. It was super fun watching Addison look at all of the characters!

Since moving in just over 2 years ago, we have done tons to our house. We have painted inside and out, new baseboards, crown molding, tile, carpet, furniture etc. Eventually money runs out and things have to wait. We have decided to try and do one big project a year. One project I had wanted since moving in was a bookshelf and desk for our family room area. We actually have been looking since we moved in, but couldn't find anything that would work. After speaking to some people in our ward, they recommended a guy that does custom work. After speaking with him we went for it. This is our house project for the year and we love it!! Since getting our new built in we have unpacked 2 boxes of books and pictures that we have enjoyed looking at. We are almost officially unpacked....... it only took over 2 years!!

I can't believe how grown up Hailey is. I find myself looking at her and wondering where the time has gone. She has given prayer and scripture in primary, but today was her first talk. She did an amazing job, and I was super proud of her.

Before there was a sun, a moon, or even ground to sit on, we all lived in heaven with our heavenly parents. We were spirit children, and we didn't have physical bodies yet. We loved Heavenly Father. And He loved us so much that He wanted us to grow up to be like Him and live with Him forever. He wanted us to know everything He knew. But how could we learn all that? Heavenly Father had a wonderful plan. He gathered us all together and told us about his plan. He would create a beautiful world with rivers, mountains, flowers, and animals. Then He would give each of us a chance to come to earth and have a physical body. On earth we wouldn't be able to remember Heavenly Father, so we would need to learn about Him. The scriptures, the prophets, and our parents teach us about Him and His plan. Through them, we can prepare ourselves to live with Him and our families forever. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Wednesdays can be magical. I have minimum day at school on Wednesdays and Colin doesn't have work, so we spent the afternoon and evening at Disneyland with the Kleins. The weather was good and the park was not crowded at all. We didn't stay late, but we were all exhausted the next day when it was back to the real world of work/school/babysitting.

Last Christmas Colin and I purchased a large picture of the Redlands Temple that was personalized with our sealing date. It is a picture that I admire on a daily basis. So, we couldn't pass up the opportunity for purchasing one for GGPA and GGMA. We didn't really have an occasion, but we couldn't hold on to it either. So, GGPA and GGMA got a surprise gift. We also had it personalized with their sealing date. We hope they love it as much as we love ours.

You Would Have Never Known

You would have never known from these adorable pictures that our Addie Mae has an ear infection, pneumonia, and bronchiolitis. Yes, our poor little girl is sick. We had a few days where she was coughing so much she was choking. We had to take her to Kaiser for a breathing treatment which led to us doing more at home. Thankfully it didn't last for very long. Addie was such an amazing sick baby. She wanted a little more snuggles, but for the most part she was just happy.

We rang in the New Year at home as a family. Addison had a slight fever so I didn't want to take her out. We hung out in the game room where we had a picnic and watched movies. I am just thankful we were all able to be together. Addison went to bed early. Daddy and Hailey stayed up until midnight. I fell asleep about 30 minutes early, but Hailey made sure I was awake in time to celebrate. We toasted with our sparkling cider and went to bed. Happy 2011!

I love Christmas Day!! I love the excitement and joy when Hailey opens her gifts. It was extra fun this year having Addison open gifts as well. I am so thankful for my amazing family, and they are the best gift I could ever ask for.

We started Christmas morning at our house around 7 a.m. Daddy was exhausted because he worked the night before. He really only got about 3 1/2 hrs. of sleep. He was a trooper and tried his best to be involved/awake. Santa, Daddy, and Mommy spoiled both girls.

We then headed to Papa's house where we opened gifts and ate breakfast. We were thankful to spend time with Caleb before he left to his Dad's house.

The festivities ended at GGPA and GGMA's house. There we met up with Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. We opened more gifts and got even more spoiled.

Unfortunately, Daddy had to go to work that afternoon. We returned home and had naps. We played all night with our new toys. Overall it was an amazing Christmas!

This year Daddy had to work Christmas Eve, so we were a little bummed. For the past two years we have had dinner at our house. Since Daddy was gone, Papa hosted it. It was nice being with family. After our meal we played a fun game. When we came home I bathed the girls and we had to get things ready for Santa. Hailey already knew exactly what she was leaving Santa and his reindeer, including chocolate milk. Hailey also had to say goodbye to Elfie since she wouldn't see him again until next year.

We attended our ward Christmas Party where Hailey had a ton of fun. Santa was there, but Hailey wanted nothing to do with him. I didn't push it! Yummy breakfast was served. The kids enjoyed coloring, making snowflakes, and playing bingo. We were able to watch the bishopric play a few games and the children all sang some beautiful songs. It was a great time!

Later we attended the Clark family Christmas. Unfortunately, Daddy had to work. Addison was also exhausted and didn't want to sleep, so I didn't get many pictures. We decorated cookies, ate some delicious food, and opened gifts.

The next day we attended the blessing of Oliver, pictured below while they were in town from Texas. That evening was the Packer Christmas Dinner Party. Hailey made us a gift from school and just couldn't wait for us to open it. I tried talking her in to waiting until Christmas, but she insisted now was the time. I'm glad we did open it because now we have hung it up in the house as a decoration. I love school and homemade gifts... they really are the best! Thank you, Hailey, I love my wreath!

Addison is doing so well at sitting up. It is so much fun watching her grab for things around her. She is so much happier now sitting up!

Christmas time is our favorite time at Disneyland. With me back to work, and Daddy's crazy work schedule, we didn't think we would make it. We squeezed it in on a Saturday evening. We warned Hailey that we may not get on any rides, but to our surprise it was not that bad. We went on about 6 rides and enjoyed the castle being lit up and the snow.

We took a trip to Bass Pro Shop so that the girls could have their picture taken with Santa. Hailey is at an age where she did not really want to do this, but we told her it was for Addison. She was extremely nervous. I find it a bit strange that she is nervous around Santa, but she will take her picture with any Disney character. Well, we got a decent shot before Addison realized what was going on and then she started to cry.

Addison is 5 1/2 months and she started sitting up on her own. It is so much fun watching her try to keep her balance and grab her toys. She seems much happier sitting up on her own. I also discovered her first tooth coming in before heading to work one morning. I was super excited that I discovered it, and didn't have to hear it from Rachael who has been watching the girls. She is growing up so quickly!

Thanksgiving Break.... my last vacation before heading back to work. It is always a bit stressful packing for the trip, but once we get to the desert it is all worth it. Hailey plays for hours outside and doesn't ask for the T.V. We spend the majority of the time together riding, eating, and talking.

Great times! I am so blessed to have such an amazing family. I hope that we are able to do this for many years to come and that my girls will hold on to the fun memories. I have been blessed to have this past year off and have been struggling with the idea of going back to work. I hope my girls know how much I love and adore them. They really are my world. I hope they realize I want nothing more than to be their Mom, and hope that soon I will be able to be home with them on a permanent basis.

I collect Willow Tree Statues. Last year Daddy was able to find part of the Willow Tree Nativity Scene for me. I have been looking forward to Christmas so that I can display it. We decided to decorate early for Christmas in our home and set up our nativity scene. Of course Hailey wanted to help me set it up, and play with it. After talking with her about the importance of it, and that it was fragile I think she understood she couldn't play with it like her other toys. The next day while shopping at Target I found the Little People Children's Nativity Set. I was super excited to find a nativity scene that Hailey can play with, and that we can also use to teach her about the true meaning of Christmas.

It has been sad since Daddy returned to the Sheriff Dept. because we don't get to spend as much time with him anymore. Hailey asks where he is every morning! So, we love spending time together as a family. After church we decided to make a fire, lay some blankets out, and watch a Christmas movie together. Hailey loved it, and it has led to us watching a different Christmas movie every night since. Addie fell asleep in Daddy's arms because it was so cozy warm.

While recently visiting the doctors office, they said it was time to start feeding Addison rice cereal. That night we decided to give it a try. Hailey was a great big sister and helped feed Addison, but Addison just wasn't enjoying the cereal. We continue to try with her, although she ends up just spitting it out. We now just sneak some in her bottle.

We swore that we would never have T.V. babies... well we do. Hailey begs to watch television all of the time, and as you can see below Addie loves it as well. **For those of you that don't have children... don't ever swear you won't do something with your kids, because you probably will.

Hailey loves being a big sister and cheering Addie on to try new things. Addie showed some interest in rolling over from her stomach to her back, so we were trying to encourage her. Addie found it not to be so easy and completely lost interest. Hopefully it will happen in the next few weeks.

Addie usually sleeps on her stomach in her bed. I laid her down on the couch after she fell asleep in my arms in the snugglie blanket and she looked adorable!

Hailey gives Addie snuggles every morning. She always gives her kisses and hugs and asks if she had a good cat nap. Colin and I find it hilarious that she says cat nap after Addie has just slept 8 hrs.

Addie has been sick and I thought this was the perfect outfit for her to wear since we have been changing her diaper every 20 minutes.

We found the Johnny Jumper... Addie is happy to have a new toy. She hasn't quite figured out the whole jumping around thing, but that is why she has a big sister.

Riding Season

It's that time... riding season! We had an open few days that we thought it would be fun to take the trailer and get out of town. It also gave us the opportunity to check if anything needed to be repaired before our annual Thanksgiving trip. We were excited to take the bikes because it had been an entire year since they were last out! Hailey did awesome! She has gotten so brave on the quad that I am waiting for her first crash as she seems to not slow down or use the brake when she turns! Papa, Auntie Brandy, and Caleb joined us the first night, and GGPA, GGMA, Cody, and Lily came out the next day. Papa brought out the Razor so Addie went with us for her first ride. Mommy also got on her bike after a year and a half for a group ride and only fell once. At the end of the day the kids were filthy dirty and exhausted from all of the fun!

Papa's Birthday

The family met at Papa's house to celebrate his 54th birthday. Auntie Brandy and Caleb did a great job decorating the house. The weather was still nice so we were able to barbecue and eat outside. Daddy made some delicious tri-tip and we ended the celebration with some red velvet cake. It was a great time and we are so happy we were able to celebrate Papa's special day with him.

I have been wanting to take Hailey to a farm to pick fruit for quite some time. Unfortunately, when we visited Riley's Farm, it was the end of the apple season. There will still some apples left, however it just wasn't what I had expected. We still made the best of the day, and did bring home apples that Hailey passed out to the family and her teacher.

On Saturday, October 30th, we went to our ward Halloween Party. We arrived early to help set up. I shot these pictures of Hailey before. She did all of the posing on her own. She is so darn cute! The night consisted of pizza, carnival games, and trunk-or-treating. It was a fun night!

Sunday, October 31, after church, Daddy made us his famous mummy dogs which are delicious. We then carved pumpkins. Well, at least we started carving pumpkins. To be honest, Daddy finished all of the pumpkins. We then went to Uncle Mike's house to have our annual Halloween pizza dinner and go trick-or-treating.

Hailey loves going to story time every Thursday to see Ms. Karen. I'm not sure if Hailey really wants to go because of the stories, or because of the chocolate milk at Starbucks after. I have been trying to avoid attending because it is just so crowded now, but feel guilty if I don't go because Hailey has been attending for the past two and a half years. Of course we couldn't miss the Halloween celebration where Ms. Karen reads Halloween related stories, the kids get to parade around the store, and they get goodie bags.

Living between two homes has officially come to an end. Daddy's last day of active duty with the Marines was Thursday, October 28th. We are happy that Daddy will no longer have to commute, but we are super sad we no longer have our beach house. It was such an awesome opportunity for the past year to have a house at the beach of our own, and an opportunity we will most likely never have again. I was hesitant about the idea in the beginning, but as I reflect I am thankful for the opportunity we had, and the many memories we made there as a family.

It has been difficult explaining to Hailey that we no longer will have the beach house... she truly believes that it is her house. When it was our last weekend visiting she cried, so after school we drove down for the night and the following day. We made the most of our short visit. We used our Sea World passes and spent the rest of the time enjoying what we will miss the most... the beautiful beach. I can't really explain the area of Del Mar except for the fact that the beaches are clean and full of people that are laid back and very kind. We will miss Del Mar and plan to try and vacation there once a year in the future.

Our family will be going through many changes shortly. I will be heading back to work full time and Daddy will be returning to the Sheriff Department. I am having a really difficult time knowing I will be away from the kids, but know that it is the right thing to do for our family at this time. So, we decided to take a short vacation to enjoy each other before the craziness begins. We visited one of our favorite places, Disneyland, where we stayed at the Grand Californian.

Day 1
We arrived at our hotel early Tuesday morning. It was raining on and off the entire drive. It continued to rain when we arrived. After checking in Hailey colored pictures and mailed them to Mickey. We then spent a few hours at California Adventure. We were able to go on many rides and play games. That evening we were able to see the show, World of Color for our first time. The show was amazing!

Day 2
We headed to Disneyland early. We wanted to see the princesses before it got too crowded. We were the first in line. Hailey was able to talk to some of her favorite princesses. We went on a few more rides before heading back to the hotel so that I could go get my 80 min. massage Daddy had promised me while in labor, and Daddy could take the girls to breakfast with Chip-n-Dale. We then met up at the store, Disney 365, where Hailey was treated like a rock star! They did her hair and make-up and she loved every second of it. The girls both received letters from Mickey that had a picture inside signed by the princesses. We headed back to Disneyland where we went on many more rides. That night we ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe and then sat by the fire in the lobby of our hotel while Hailey watched cartoons.

Day 3
Since we were staying at one of the Disneyland hotels we were able to get in to the park one hour before it opened to the rest of the public. Daddy and Hailey went on the "Yeti" ride. Hailey loved it so much they went on it a second time, but got stuck! They had to walk down the inside of the mountain. We then met Auntie Terri, Uncle Sol, and Peyton at Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast. The food was delicious and the characters were great! We visited both parks today. We were also able to spend time with my cousins from Idaho that I hadn't seen since I was 11. I still can't believe I didn't take any pictures! Hailey went on the swings for her first time and Tower of Terror!!

Day4
We were exhausted! We slept in and ate breakfast one last time with Chip-n-Dale. We then headed to San Diego where Auntie Terri, Uncle Sol, and Peyton met us. We went to a few shops, walked on the beach, and hung out at the condo.

Day 5
We visited a small aviation museum at the base. We rested and headed home.

I am extremely thankful for all of my blessings, especially my family. I never thought I could be this happy. I have a very loving and supportive husband and two amazing daughters. I am so lucky!

I can hardly believe that Addie is already 4 months old. She is a complete joy, and I can't imagine our family without her. She has really grown over the past four months and has ended up being a really good baby. I love her to pieces and am so thankful to be her mother.

At 16 weeks Addison has learned to roll over from her back to her stomach on her own. I still can't believe she has done it! After church we were playing on the floor and I caught the end of her doing it, so I wasn't sure it was real. We were all super excited and cheered her on with hopes she would do it again. Addison defiantly got a work out because we had her do it over and over again. I can't believe she is growing up so quickly. I am so thankful I was able to actually be there as she accomplished this, and hope I will be around to witness many other firsts in her life. Good job Addie!

We love having the Lewis Family Playhouse so close to us. They offer some really great plays for children at a reasonable price. Since Daddy was not able to go to Disney on Ice, he took Hailey to see the play Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. Since the play was based on a story we bought the book before hand and read it the few nights before the play. Hailey loved seeing the story come alive on stage!

Auntie Terri and Peyton decided to join along with us as we spent the day at Legoland. Addison is only 16 weeks old and has been to three amusement parks. The weather was beautiful and the day ended up being about Hailey. Unfortunately there are not many rides for kids under 3, so Hailey was really the only one to go on the rides. She was able to go on any ride she wanted and went on two new rides this visit. Although Terri/Peyton couldn't go on much we always have a blast hanging out

I did it!! I got Addison's ears pierced! I remember when Hailey was a baby I didn't even think twice about getting her ears pierced, but with Addison I didn't have that same feeling. I was a little nervous about the whole thing, and kept putting it off. I finally told myself that it was now or never. Hailey assured me things would be fine and she would hold Addison's hand (which she really did). Auntie Natalie and Bryce came along to photograph the occasion. I had nerves all morning and was emotional just thinking about it. The appearance of the young woman in the store that would do the piercing didn't help to ease the nervousness. I kept reminding myself to not judge and to have a positive attitude. The woman ended up being very thorough and kind. Addison did a great job and didn't cry that much. I am super happy I did it because Addison looks adorable with her earrings!

Uncle Mike, MacKenzie, Hailey, Addison, and I were able to go to the Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario and watch Disney on Ice. I was a little nervous taking Addison, but she actually did a great job. Addison lasted until the last five minutes of the show. We sat exactly where Hailey wanted, way up high so it wouldn't hurt her neck! I thought it was hilarious that she said that and was thankful she didn't mind we were way up high. Although we were three rows from the back, we could see the show great. I didn't take my camera because my hands were already full, but this is the amazing hat she got that was attached to her $10 cotton candy!

It has been a few years since I last attended the air show, and since Daddy was working at it all weekend we decided to check it out. If you haven't attended it before, you should definitely check it out. It is pretty amazing what all the different types of aircraft can do. It also makes you think about the men and women fighting to protect us. Besides it being totally humid, and me worrying about Addison losing her hearing we had a great time.

I'm sad to say that Hailey's soccer season has come to an end. It was so much fun watching the last game because each child had grown so much during the short season. It was a successful adventure for Hailey, and I hope she will want to continue to play. After our last soccer game the entire team went to Barbonies for a pizza party. Each child was given a medal and award. Hailey was super excited about her medal and could barely take her eyes off of it.

The Best Big Sister Ever

I have to admit that I was worried about Hailey's reaction to having a baby sister. I was mostly concerned with the fact that she was basically an only child for 4 years. I feared she would resent Addison because the focus would no longer be on her alone. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Hailey has been amazing. I don't really know how to put it in to words except for the fact that I am blessed. Hailey really does love Addison. She is concerned with her well being and is constantly giving her love. Hailey has helped me out tremendously. She babysits often and is happy to do it. Hailey is now feeding Addison her nightly bottle. I felt a bit guilty eating my dinner at the table while Hailey sat on the couch feeding her sister. Hailey assured me things were fine and she wanted to do it... in fact Hailey did it again and I was able to fold a load of laundry. I guess I should take advantage because who knows how long this will last. I am so thankful for Hailey's kind spirit that is so sweet and loving. Addison is truly blessed to have such an amazing big sister.

It's the end of September and it is burning hot in California. It is so hot we were able to go to Silverwood Lake with Papa and Caleb for the day. We cruised around the lake in the boat, fished, ate lunch, and enjoyed each others company. The lake was calm with not many other boaters out which made me think that my availability to do these spur of the moment activities will soon be coming to an end. I got really sad thinking about heading back to work and not being able to be with my amazing family.

When we picked Hailey up after the wedding she was exhausted! It took quite some time to get her teeth brushed, bathroom break, scriptures read, and prayer because she kept having melt downs. Everything she touched seemed to hurt her. She was having such a traumatic night that I snuggled with her in her bed. The crying came in spurts as a result of how emotional she was about random topics. When I say random, I mean random. Below are a few comments followed by tears that were said by my tired and emotional little girl.

-This hair is itchy
-I shouldn't have wiped my boogers on the wall... how am I going to get them off?
-My heart is sad... you and Daddy didn't dance
-I can't close my eyes... if I do, they will turn green like Daddy's and then I will be a boy with pretty hair

Soccer Star

I'm not trying to brag, but my daughter is a soccer star! These past few weeks have been a blast out on the field watching Hailey develop skills and grow to love soccer. My girl has speed and is pretty aggressive! She runs the entire game and is the top scorer on her team. She is still kind and loving and worries about her team mates, but also has toughened up quite a bit. Hailey loves scoring goals and giving us a thumbs up. I love cheering her on and watching her play! I am officially a Soccer Mom!

Well our home away from home in San Diego flooded. Luckily we were not there when it happened and it was caught pretty early. Anyways, we had to move out while they tore out some walls and fixed all that was damaged. We were given the keys to a condo about 5 minutes away in Solano Beach. The place was beautiful! It was like being on a mini vacation going to a new beach house. Our favorite part was being able to sit and watch television with the sliding glass door open so we could hear the waves and watch the sunset.

Where has the time gone? Addie is already three months old. It makes me sad to think that the time has gone by so quickly. Addie has changed a ton over these past few months. We usually had to hold her constantly or she would cry. Every day she is getting better and better. Car rides were the worst and we actually can drive places without screaming and Mommy having a nervous breakdown. She continues to throw up, but has improved dramatically. She is drooling constantly and loves to suck on her hand. She loves to smile! She smiles all the time, especially when she hears Daddy, Mommy, or big sisters voice. She talks often and is starting to grab her toys. Addie is a complete joy. I love her to pieces. She has brought so much happiness to our lives and I can't imagine life without her.

We have a new nephew/cousin. We are so excited for Uncle Mike, Auntie Natalie, and MacKenzie. Baby Bryce was born just 12 weeks after Addison. I am so excited that we live only a few blocks apart so they can grow up together. As my family grows, and the number of nieces and nephews grows, I can only imagine how amazing it would be to have my Mom around with all of these grand-kids. I sure do miss her!

Now that most everyone is back to school we decided to spend a few hours at the Happiest Place on Earth. Auntie Terri and Peyton met us there to join in on all of the fun!

Hailey had her first soccer game. It was pretty hilarious! For most of the kids on her team it was there first time playing soccer, so everything was new. When a bunch of different kids came over with different colored shirts on it was like they didn't really know what to do. They quickly got the hang of it and did an awesome job. It was so fun to watch.
